I started as a Co-op Student, joined Ballard as an Analytical Chemist in 2000 and am currently Team Lead of Failure Analysis. Even now my favorite thing here is the people; we have many very intelligent individuals that are great fun to work with and makes for diverse teams.

The coolest aspect is getting to work with the latest analytical techniques and instruments; my team and I have operated some advanced equipment at universities! True to the nature of failure analysis, my one safety tip is to plan for the worst so you can be fully prepared to strive for the best.

I used to compete internationally in highland dancing; these days I’m a track-trained motorcyclist.
