Fuel Cells Recommended by US DOD for Defense Facilities
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) sponsored an assessment of how fuel cells can help meet U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) power needs in the near term. The published report validates technological and commercial progress made to date by developers of fuel cell technology, recommending that the DoD proactively evaluate and acquire fuel cell systems across a range of applications.
Ballard is of the view that fuel cell power should be a ‘technology of choice’ for near-future DoD energy needs and has several immediate commercial solutions as well as demonstration capability to meet many of the DoD’s technology requirements.
