VANCOUVER, CANADA – Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ: BLDP; TSX: BLD) is pleased to participate in The International Zero Emission Bus Conference and the 10th Edition of the Fuel Cell Bus Workshop, in London, England on November 30 and December 1, 2016. This two-day event brings together global experts in clean transit solutions and underscores the commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality through the deployment of zero-emission fuel cell electric buses.

Zero-emission fuel cell electric buses offer a direct replacement to diesel buses without any compromise in range, power or refueling time. With millions of kilometers in commercial services and more than ten years on the road in challenging environments, fuel cell electric buses have proven to meet operational requirements of transit agencies and bus operators. Ballard is currently working with a number of bus manufacturers to bring attractive fuel cell electric buses to transit operators in North America, Europe, and China. 

Nicolas Pocard, Director of Marketing at Ballard, will participate in a panel on Wednesday, December 1, discussing commercialization strategies for fuel cell electric bus fleets. In addition, Ballard will co-sponsor a reception, along with Anglo American Platinum, bringing together delegates at the conclusion of the two-day event. The event is organized by the US based Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) in partnership with UK-based Element Energy.
