Derek Bulmer is Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Ballard and was previously Chief Financial Officer of GeoPura. He brings extensive experience in finance, capital markets, M&A and scaling high-growth technology businesses.

Derek began his career with Grant Thornton and KPMG before moving into industry, where he has held senior leadership roles across technology and engineering businesses including Kromek Group plc, Tekmar Group plc and GeoPura. Across these roles, he has raised more than £300 million in capital, led international M&A activity and secured investment from the US, France, Germany and the UK through both private and public markets.

Derek studied Economics at the University of Nottingham and Law at Teesside University. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Barrister.
