Lord Richard Harrington is a member of Ballard’s Board of Directors and Chair of GeoPura. He brings more than four decades of experience across business, government, investment and industry, with particular expertise in manufacturing, industrial strategy and attracting international investment.

Richard is also Chair of Make UK, which represents Britain’s manufacturing sector. He previously served as the UK’s Minister for Business and Industry, with responsibilities spanning industrial strategy, energy and key manufacturing sectors. He later led an independent review of the UK’s approach to foreign direct investment for HM Treasury. Richard served as Member of Parliament for Watford from 2010 to 2019 and was appointed to the House of Lords in 2022.

Before entering politics, Richard built and led businesses across property, hospitality and financial services. He studied Law at Keble College, University of Oxford.
