Dantherm Power Dantherm Power is focused on development and production of commercially viable fuel cell-based backup power systems for use in IT and telecom network base stations. A significant recent market achievement has been the development, and deployment with Nokia-Siemens Networks, of 123 fuel cell based backup power systems for radio stations connected to Denmark's new public safety network - SINE. In January 2010, Ballard acquired a controlling interest in Denmark-based Dantherm Power, partnering with co-investors Danfoss A/S and Dantherm A/S. Dantherm Power develops clean energy backup power systems, utilizing Ballard's hydrogen fuel cell technology, for telecom equipment suppliers including Nokia-Siemens Networks and Ericsson. The joint investment and partnering support from Ballard, Danfoss and Dantherm is expected to result in accelerated development of fuel cell backup power applications across Europe. AFCC Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation Corp. AFCC Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation Corp. (AFCC) is a private Vancouver, Canada-based automotive fuel cell technology company founded in 2008 and owned 50.1% by Daimler AG, 30% by Ford Motor Company and 19.9% by Ballard Power Systems. AFCC was created to focus on fuel cell research, development and design specifically for automotive applications. AFCC will work closely with Daimler and Ford to evolve automotive fuel cell technology. AFCC will continue to be positioned for success in automotive fuel cell technology development over the longer term, with management and program funding provided by Daimler and Ford.
