The combination of Ballard’s zero-emission fuel cell products, sustainable business model, strong governance practices, and committed workforce enables the Company to create long-term value for shareholders while contributing to decarbonization of the global economy. Ballard is well-positioned to help achieve increasingly aggressive global renewable energy and GHG reduction targets.

In 2019, Ballard also launched a “Mission Carbon Zero” initiative to evaluate and steadily reduce the environmental impact of our organization and products, with a goal of being carbon neutral by 2030. The Company is tracking and evaluating our carbon footprint, as well as performing lifecycle assessments of our fuel cell stacks and heavy-duty power modules in order to measure their carbon footprint “from cradle to grave”. As we proceed, Ballard is committed to informing our customers, investors and other stakeholders of the results of this work, along with our strategies to further reduce and offset our emissions and continue progressing toward a carbon neutral position.
