I’ve been a Senior Designer in Product Development at Ballard since 2013. I have a Mechanical Engineering background. My most memorable moment at Ballard was my first week; I was immediately placed into a plate design project with an aggressive timeline! Drawn into the thick of it right away really, but it was incredibly satisfying to step up and bring value to the team since day one. Innovation to me means always challenging the normal and not defaulting to what has been done in the past. I continue to strive for a new and better version of what’s been done already.

I’m a hobbyist beekeeper for the last couple years and I have 3 hives. Bees really are nature’s most amazing engineers and architects with a fascinating social structure. There’s something new and exciting every time I inspect a colony. They are the embodiment of “The whole is greater than the sum of the parts”; I have a lot of admiration and respect for them.
